This yellowish food is the most famous food around the world. Everybody knows about this fruit and tend to eat bananas very often. As per the United States Department of Agriculture, the most famous fresh fruit is banana and according to them one American eats 11.4 lbs. of bananas every year. In 100g of bananas, there are 9.8 mg of choline, 8.7 mg of vitamin C, 0.665mg of Niacin, 0.4mg of vitamin B6, 0.334mg of Pantothenic acid, 0.73mg of Riboflavin, 0.33g of fat, 0.33g of protein, 89 Kcal, 1.1g of protein, 23g of carbohydrates, 0.3g of fat, 2.6g of fiber, 12g of sugar, 0mg of cholesterol, 1mg of sodium, 358mg of potassium, 27mg of magnesium, 22mg of phosphorus, 5mg of calcum,0.26 of iron, 0.15 of Zink and various antioxidants and phytonutrients. This amount of nutrition shows how important the bananas are to be added to the daily food intake and it has amazing benefits for the skin too.  

  1. Works as a good skin moisturizer

You may have tried so many skin care products to moisturize your skin. Some may have surely given you with good results and some many not. Skin flaking off, itching, scaling and cracking are some of the signs of dry skin. The main reason for dry skin is the lack of water and oil in the skin. This may be the results of excessive exposure to sunlight, lack of moisture in the air, some weather conditions etc. Due to this the outer layer of the skin may try to thicken because of the water evaporation. Since bananas are rich in potassium and vitamin A, it helps to moisture the skin cells starting from very deep layers. Not only these bananas will help to make the skin more supple and soft.

How to use:     You can simple apply a good and thick layer of mashed bananas on the face or any effected area. Try to select a well ripen banana for this. After leaving this pack on the face for about 10 minutes, wash away the pack using cold water and it will give you with a soft skin.

  • Anti-aging effects 

When we age, the collagen production reduces gradually. When collagen production reduces it reduces the elasticity of the skin. Then the fine lines will occur and this will further make wrinkles on the skin. B-vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E and amino acid in bananas will help to avoid skin aging. B-vitamins helps to fight against free radicals and avoid premature aging. Vitamin C in banana will boost the collagen production and vitamin E content in banana will fight against harmful UV rays and again help to be protected from wrinkle formation. Amino acid will help to strengthen the connective tissue and thereby enhancing the skin elasticity. Because of these vitamins, it will help to avoid wrinkle formation and will avoid skin aging.

How to use:     Make a good mixture made of mashed bananas, one tea spoon of bee honey and few drops of lemon juice and apply it on the skin and wash it using cold water after leaving it on the skin for about 20 minutes.

                        Apply a mixture of mashed bananas mixed with one table spoon of yoghurt and apply it on the skin and wash it using cold water after leaving it on the skin for about 20 minutes.

  • Fight against acnes 

Banana peel is the right solution for this. No more throwing of the banana peel without taking the maximum benefit from it. It means we have no part in banana to waste. What you have to do is just rubbing the inner part of the banana peel directly on the skin. But don’t wash the face right away. Leave this substance on the face for about 4-5 hours (if it is possible) or you can leave this on face for an overnight to take maximum advantages. When thinking about how it works, it is so simple. Banana peel has some good ingredients that helps to fight against acnes. Banana has a highest composition of utein and lectin, which are called to be a good antioxidant and help to destroy the bacteria that causes acnes and pimples. Not only this, it has carotenoid vitamin which is related to vitamin A. Zinc is highly available in the banana peel that helps to avoid pimple and acnes. 

  • For a glowing skin

Banana may be the only ingredient that suits all the types of skin. No matter you have a dried skin, oily skin or sensitive skin, you can use bananas to get maximum advantages. Because of the anti-oxidants available in banana it helps to give you with clear and bright skin while avoiding the damage causes to the skin because of the free radicals. Vitamin A in banana helps to avoid dark spots that causes due to pimples. Not only this, banana has potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin E to enhance the skin glowing.

How to use:     Take a mashed banana, one tea spoon of turmeric and one tea spoon of bee honey and apply it on the face and wash it using cold water after leaving it for 20 minutes. 

  • Oil control and exfoliation

Skin’s main duty is to produce oil within the cells to keep the skin rejuvenated. But sometimes oil production becomes high and many skin problems may occur including pimples and acnes. So, oil control is another concept that has to be adhered to the life. Oil control can be easily done with the help of banana. Banana can also be used as a good exfoliator too where by exfoliating all the dead skin will offer with a smooth and nice skin. 

How to use:     To fight again excess oil, what is good to do is applying a mixture made with chopped bananas combining with few drops of lemon juice. And keeping this mixture on the face for about 15 minutes will control oil. As the bonus point, we can lighten the skin because of the power of vitamin C in lemon.  

For exfoliation, what we can do is, scrubbing the skin using a mixture made with a large mashed banana, oats, olive oil and lemon drops on the affected area in circular motion. This will avoid all the dead skin out of the skin and will provide us with good, nourished and smooth skin

Banana and sugar mask are the best mask for skin exfoliation. Blend a medium-sized banana with sugar and make a fine paste. Apply this paste on the skin and rub it on circular motion. This will avoid all the dead skin and as the plus point, it will promote blood circulation to the skin and thereby promote skin brightness.
