Unlike black tea, green tea has many benefits because black tea spends a lot of time in the fermentation process when compared with green tea. Because of this less fermentation time taken by the green tea, the antioxidants in the green tea is higher than the antioxidants in the black tea. Not only this, but also green tea has a considerable amount of caffein. This amount sums up to 1/4th of caffein in a cup of coffee. This caffein composition in green tea makes it healthier. Because of this highest antioxidant amount in green tea, it provides us with many advantages like strengthening the immunity system, fighting against bacteria, body hydration, enhancing metabolism rate, fighting against cancer etc. Normally people drink a cup of green tea every day to take its benefits but drinking green tea is not the only way to gain its benefits and there are many ways to take its advantages for the body. For example, we can apply green tea on face to get its advantages. You may have seen many beauty hacks videos that shows simple benefits that can be gain by applying and using green tea.

Acne is the biggest problem faced by people in day to day life despite of the age and gender. Acnes occur when the skin producing excess oil called sebum. This sebum and dead skin with all the unwanted impurities like makeup get locked in the pores. Then the immunity system of the body tries starts to act against these acnes and then it appears like a little lump and we call that an acne. Since green tea has good anti-bacterial properties, green tea can be used as a healing agent for acnes. Applying a dripped tea bag on the face or affected area, applying brewed and cooled green tea water on face using a cotton swab, adding 2-3 tea-tree oil to a brewed and cooled green tea water and applying on face or effected area will act against bacteria and will sooth the skin. This has to be applied on face after cleansing the skin properly. If not, the results will not be shown. Green tea is the best remedy for skin exfoliation. Our skin makes dead skin in every 28 days. It is the natural exfoliation cycle. This unwanted skin has to be removed from skin at least once in every 28 days and it will give us a refreshed and glowing skin. We can use green tea for this exfoliation purpose. mixing green tea leaves powder with sugar and coconut oil will exfoliate the skin while giving a glowing face. Another way to make a good exfoliator is by mixing bee honey and powdered green tea and scrubbing the pulp all over the face and other areas of the body and this will act as a good exfoliator. Not only this but also, Green tea can be used as a mask to make the skin glowing. Further it helps to remove all the impurities and toxins from face and will avoid blemishes and will hydrate our skin and detoxify the skin. If you want to get a glowing face form overnight try applying green tea powder mixed with potato juice and leave it for 20minutes and wash it using lukewarm water. It will give a glowing face. As another remedy a pack made with mixing powdered green tea leaves with bee honey and leaving it on face for about 20minutes will provide same results. Applying the mixed green tea powder with yoghurt and leaving it for about 20minutes will brighten up the skin.

Do you give bags under your eyes? Then try keeping dripped green tea bags in the eye lids and wait for about 20 minutes or you can wash eyes using green tea dripped water on continuous basis. This will remove all the baggy and dark circles around eyes because of its anti-inflammatory properties and caffein in the green tea. This remedy will help to relax the mind because its scent has the mind relaxing power. If you want to cleanse your skin properly try green tea. Steam your face using a bowl of hot water dripped with green tea. On the other hand, what we can do is dripping a green tea bag on hot water and splashing it on the face after cooling it. Let it dry on the face and clean it with lukewarm water. If you want a toner, pour a water bottle and add a tea bag into it and spray it on the face when you need to tone the face. This will act as a refresher too. You can spray the green tea-soaked water on the face if you feel tired and stressed. Applying powdered green tea mixed with yoghurt and turmeric powder will work as an anti-aging treatment. Because of its antioxidants it will help to fight against free radicals and will prevent wrinkles and fine lines and will give a rejuvenated skin. If you love sun bathing and if sun burns irritating you, it will no longer be a problem because green tea is there to save you because of its ani-inflammatory properties. Apply double boiled coconut oil with green tea on the skin and leave it on the skin for about 20 minutes after cooling the mixture. Then rinse it off thoroughly. This will be a good remedy for skin burns and red marks on the body due to sunburns.  

Due to our busy lives preparing and applying these DIY home remedies may not easy but leaving these treatments without taking any advantage is a waste. Therefore, making green tea ice cubes and applying it on face is good and quick way of extracting the advantages from this small leaf. Drip a green tea bag on a cup of hot and boiling water and leave the tea bag on the hot water until all the good from the tea bag absorbs to the water. Let it cool and pour the liquid into the ice cube tray and deep freeze it. When you are free or you are planning to go to the bed after all daily chaos clean the face thoroughly using good skin care products and apply the green tea ice cube on the face and wash it after leaving it on the face for about one hour. You can do this on daily basis continuously and this will be the best way to extract the goodness of green tea even in the busy schedules. It is not compulsory to have fresh green tea bags to try these DIY remedies. You can try these using used green tea bags and it will give good results but, make sure to do these remedies on continuous basis to maintain the results.
